Explore Carpinteria, California

Carpinteria is a small oceanside city located east of Santa Barbara and northwest of Ventura, California. Visit Carpinteria Beach and see seals and sea lions from December through May at the rookery. The gentle sloping fine-grain white sand is good for jogging and running on, and the round trip south of the rookery to Rincon Point is approximately 10 kilometers. There is good bird watching at Carpinteria Salt Marsh Reserve. The California Avocado Festival is the first weekend in October and the Santa Barbara Polo Club is one of the main equestrian polo fields in the country and is located within city limits.
